Day 01: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu
Your journey begins with a spectacular flight into Paro, offering breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival, your guide from Reality Escape “Bhutan” will warmly welcome you and begin your cultural exploration. Visit Ta Dzong, the former watchtower now housing the National Museum; Paro Dzong, an impressive fortress with historical significance; and the sacred Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples dating back to the 7th century. You’ll also stop at the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, built to commemorate Bhutan’s victory over Tibetan invaders. Later in the evening, enjoy a scenic drive to Thimphu. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 02: Full-Day Sightseeing in Thimphu
After breakfast, explore the cultural heart of Bhutan. Visit the Memorial Chorten, a spiritual monument built in honor of Bhutan’s Third King; the National Library, home to ancient Buddhist texts; and the Handicrafts Emporium, showcasing traditional Bhutanese arts and crafts. Continue to the Painting School, where students learn sacred arts like thangka painting, and the Institute of Traditional Medicine, which uses local herbs for healing. End your day at the majestic Tashichho Dzong, the seat of the Bhutanese government and the summer residence of the monastic body. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 03: Thimphu – Paro / Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
After breakfast, drive back to Paro for a memorable hike to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)—one of Bhutan’s most iconic and spiritual sites. Perched dramatically on a cliffside at 3,120 meters, it’s believed that Guru Padmasambhava flew here on the back of a tigress to meditate. The hike is about 4–5 hours round-trip and offers panoramic views of Paro Valley. Return to Paro town for some leisure time or optional local exploration. Overnight in Paro.
Day 04: Departure from Paro
Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before your transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey. Depart with cherished memories of Bhutan’s serene beauty, rich culture, and warm hospitality.
